Hey, I remember this!
This was made back when you were still unsure about the background layout, right?
Anyway, it's awesome to see you have come such a long way!
Katyusha looks almost uncanny!
Her ear could use a little bit more work, though-

Question: Will you "redraw" other characters from your art/animations?
Some of the villains from The Overseer, maybe?

aggimajera responds:

Yeah, I mostly wanted to practice facial structure. Katya is one of my oldest characters and decided I'd redo her. I'm particularly drawn to her. I know I should do the others to and fully intend to give them a go. Funny thing? I don't think of them as villains anymore. I've thought of their stories so much that they're not silhouettes to be shot. They're men who were caught up in bad business.

Check back now and again. There is more coming.

Good work!
I like all the little details in the picture, especially the Cornish pixie! Did you use an image for reference? The only critizism I have is that Legolas' hands are a little too small :)
But the posture, clothing, hair, tree and creatures are all very well made!

You know, elves are always willing to help nature and its animals, so if Legolas by any circumstance met a thestral and a pixie in need of help, I think he would do all in his power to help them.

The nature of the Thestrals are rather sad, I think. They can only be seen by those who have seen death, and accepted it. Harry thought that the wagons that went back and forth to Hogwarts moved themselves all the years, and he wasn't able to see them until he had witnessed and accepted the death of Cedric Diggory!

Also makes me think about Luna Lovegood, who saw them since she was 11 and starting at Hogwarts, the poor thing! She could never mention it to anyone: invisible, skeletal/rotting horses with wings pulling the wagons? I doubt anyone would believe her.

Anyway, keep it up, N!

thank you so much and yes i used a picture for reference so i would get the details good. and it worked out pretty well. (and i know that his hands are small i'm learning how to draw hands as well because now they are a disaster :p but i think these once turned out well) and i know he would help them that is what i thought and i know right Luna Lovegood is a sweet girl i wonder what happend to her that she could see them... somthing to wonder about (i'm not sure if they told it in the books or movies) but anyway thank you ^_^ i'll try my best

Amazing lighting!

aggimajera responds:

That was the focus this time. Lighting of clothes and facial features in a dark environment. Plus, you know, kids. Hope it carries over for the next one!

The cover looks great! All 5 factions on the front, and a short summary on the back, just like a real cover! The book look really interesting! I think I'll buy it!
I've already read The Hunger Games, Lord of The Flies, and I'm reading Stephen King's The Stand right now, but I think Divergent will stand out!

NyanaCreation responds:

i'm so happy to hear that ^_^ and yes i had to design a new cover so i should do a good
job than right? but i'm happy i could bring you on the idea to read this book. (i hope you
enjoy it, i sertenly did)

Fantastic! Great potential!
I know next to nothing about Zbrush, so I've got some questions for you:
1)
Is it possible to put the model in different positions once it's created?

2)
Can you apply said model to a picture or video program (ex. Photoshop or BoomToon)to create awesome pictures/video?

Regards,
JamesHatfeld

themefinland responds:

Thanks James, as for the questions:
1. Yup, you can repose the model, but that means you have to either manually move each limb (time consuming) or to rig the model (even more time consuming). I sculpted this guy into the default T pose and posed him like this afterwards. However, the way this character is sculpted makes it quite difficult to pose as I did not take some key things into consideration when doing this, but I will take those things into account on my future sculpts so I can rig them.

2. Yeah, you can export the model as a regular image or video file which you can then send to another program to do whatever you want to do with it.

Excellent story, and excellent picture! You pulled off the lighting very well! The forest and sky above look very tantalizing! I read the full story, and it actually brought my mind to one of your earlier works:

any connection/inspiration?
Will there be more of our young dragonoid hero?

themefinland responds:

Why yes, the drawing you linked is very much connected to this story :) There will be more of him in the future!

Splendid! Shading, lighting, textures (suit, pants), coloring, details (muscles, hair), and mood (manical!) are all well above what I've seen from you lately (excluding "Reunion, of course). You have indeed gotten better!
I remember you once said something along the lines of "the Spanish Civil War have but all been forgotten, pushed onto the sideline by the larger scale conflicts at the time", and that you wanted to focus your attention on it someday. It's good that you've decided to "revive" the Civil Wat project! Can we expect more scenes of Pedro and Gregori in the future?

aggimajera responds:

As a matter of fact I've been re-evaluating the entire backgrounds and stories of characters I've made. I've been trying to lay good groundwork for a series of solid stories forming a coherent, sensible overarching story spanning the entire 20th century. As it stands, Pedro and Gregori were both the protagonist and main antagonist of "The Overseer". This is the beginning of how they met, and how a Spaniard found himself in the Eastern Bloc.

I care about the characters I made. I want to present them to a wide audience someday. In order to do that, im working out kinks in their stories. Expect more pictures of these kind. Including Pedro and Gregori.

Damn, this is really powerful stuff! Their expressions almost bring a tear to my eye. Coming from a guy with a heart of stone, it's quite something. Is this connected to Crestfallen, by the way?

aggimajera responds:

Good eye! I've been elaborating and constructing this whole story further and further and never really touched on how this particular relationship sends certain characters to do what they end up doing. One thing I wanted to illustrate was how important these two characters are to each other.

Also I'm still practicing drawing emotions and people. I've never drawn people hugging before so I figured this would be good practice.

Great work!
You've made the prejudiced, narcissistic, arrogant, xenophobic racist we all know and love!
Hope Trey and Matt change back the opening sequence. I find it too... flashy.
Anyway, you know when season 20 starts?

-Screw you guys! I'm going home.

HongKongBong responds:

Thank you very much!
The new intro is pretty cool if you ask me, but that's probably because I'm a sucker for stop-motion.

-The tears of unfathomable sadness! Yummy!

Holy moley! It's fricking FANTASTIC! I think of Prometheus (proto/ideal humans), satanism (horns, glyphs) and the Vitruvian Man. Any connection to The Ancients?

themefinland responds:

Thanks man! Occultism in general was the inspiration behind this and a couple of others that came before this (This one is a sequal of sorts to two other drawings I have made previously, see if you can figure out which!). The ancients and the old ones are very much also behind the inspiration to this, with the theme of unfathomable and incomprehensible things and knowledge.

Greetings! I'm a huge fan of Fallout and Elder Scrolls, cosplay those. Love art in all forms. I love reading fiction and nonfiction. I write TES fanfic. Favorite bands: MetallicA and Iron Maiden. Thank you for visiting my profile! Have a great day onward!
